Pastors are setting a day apart to focus prayer upon the church and pastors of our city and county.
This prayer event will begin at 9:00 with brief worship and a challenge for the day presented by Pastor Bill Stubblefield, Difference Maker's Fellowship. Our prayer focus in the morning will be directly related to the prayer responsibilities of the pastor in praying for the church he/she pastors. Included in this time will be an opportunity to disperse on the Barn Ministry grounds for personal time of prayer in your "prayer closet." Before lunch, we'll have a corporate time of sharing what we understand the Spirit is saying to the Church.
Lunch will be catered to provide an hour of fellowship and breaking bread together.
In the afternoon, we will center our prayer time on the major issues facing the church in Lubbock and engage prayer strategies that will enable the church to prevail and the Kingdom of God to advance. We will seek to know the still small Voice and seek to know God's plans or at least our part in His plans for the coming year. Come, ready to pray and ready to hear from God! We will wrap it up by 4pm.
Pray Lubbock will give a copy of Rob McCorkle's study guide, Transforming A City; Perspectives on a Biblical Revival to each participant. This study looks at the Transformation of the City of Ephesus in Acts 19 as a launching point for understanding the dynamics of the process of city transformation.
Location
The Barn Ministry is a beautiful growing campus with the mission to encourage, counsel and equip people in ministry by providing resources and retreat accommodations. Founder Michael and Dee Ann Page have welcomed us to use this facility for our prayer summit. This location, just beyond Upland and Woodrow Road, makes you feel like you have gotten out of town, yet it is a short drive from Lubbock. We will be meeting in the Denny-Hunt Chapel near the back of the property. You may want to check out this ministry center as a possible personal retreat option, or a staff retreat location.
