Week 5 - Seeking God's Presence through Praise
Desired outcome for today's prayer - Prayerful praise changes things. Praising God for blessings we see in our schools and educational systems acknowledges His goodness and invites Him, through prayer, to refine and improve our attempts to provide meaningful education to our young people. Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Prayer issues for today:
• Praise God that our educational system in this country historically honors the Bible as a textbook instructing learners in knowing God and understanding morality.
• Praise God that our educational system in this country historically undergirds education with prayer seeking God’s help in learning and in behavior.
• Praise God that, today, He is honored by many during “moments of silence” at the beginning of the school day routines in some schools.
• Praise God for areas where cooperation exists between public schools and organizations like Good News Clubs and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
• Praise God that He is not limited by governmental restraints and that there are teachers, administrators, staff and students who live for God everyday and find ways to make His love for others known.
• Praise God for solutions, yet to be discovered, which will benefit all students regarding parents’ choice of education, public or private, with quality education for all.
• Praise God for organizations like “Pastors for TX Children” in their desire to assure quality education occurs for the underserved in public schools.
• Praise God for private Christian schools and home schools where there is overt inclusion of Christian principles in education in alignment with a Christian world view.
• Praise God for school staff and churches who are attentive to children who are without basic needs at the beginning of the year and during cold weather and during school breaks.
• Praise God for opportunities like subsidized meals, head start programs, after-school care that ease the burden of struggling families.
• Praise God for organizations that are taking serious looks at the appropriateness of reading material in school libraries.
• Praise God for schools that see the viability of Christian chaplains assigned to schools.
• Praise God for unity among university ministry leaders who serve the Texas Tech Campus.
• Praise God for vibrant student ministry programs in churches across this city whose influence for God finds its way into our schools and touches fellow students on our campuses.
• Praise God that He is able to do more than we ask or imagine regarding the quality and content of education in our community!
Ephesians 3:20 “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more that we might as or think.”
