June 29 - Seeking God’s presence through praise regarding the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God

Sunday - The Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God
Week 5 - Seeking God's Presence through Praise
Desired outcome for today's prayer - Prayer, at its pinnacle, connects us with God and becomes a conduit for His will to be done on earth. Prayerful praise, today, relinquishes our desire to fix things ourselves and entreats God to inhabit and direct the current issues and the future of the Body of Christ in Lubbock. It is always right to give God praise - a practice sometimes neglected due to our busyness and worry. Psalm 100:4,5 "Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courtyards with praise. Give thanks to Him, and bless His name, For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His faithfulness is to all generations."
Christian churches and organizations in mind as we pray: Christian congregations, Christian ministries, Christian radio, university ministries, pastors, ministers, rectors and priests, Christian denominational regional staff, home churches, youth ministries, children’s ministries, prayer ministries, local church prayer leaders, Sunday schools, elders, deacons, church board officers and members, missionary organizations, prison ministries, counseling ministries, All-City Worship Leaders Fellowship, Pray Lubbock Ministry Team, Children’s Home of Lubbock, Buckner Family Hope Center, Methodist Children’s Home, Across the Street Ministry, Kingdom CO-OP, Lubbock House of Prayer, 132 House of Prayer, Encounter - a House of Prayer, Open Door, Kingdom Come Ministries, Lubbock Dream Center, Christian Counselors, St. Benedict's Chapel, The Salvation Army, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Quest Restorations Ministries, Exodus Prison Ministry, John 8:32 Prison Ministry, Water Hose Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, One Heart Foster Alliance
Praise issues for today:
• Praise God that He never sleeps nor slumbers!
• Praise God that Jesus is right now at the right hand of the Father interceding for us!
• Praise God that when we do not know exactly how to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us!
• Praise God that the church, the Body of Christ, is not man’s innovation, it is Jesus’ construction, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it!
• Praise God that the Kingdom of God is unshakable!
• Praise God for pastors coming together for prayer in unity around Jesus.
• Praise God for local church prayer leaders, prayer groups, prayer meetings and for the cross-pollination happening when prayer groups form from many local churches for the sake of the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God.
• Praise God for churches that need more space for worship and for churches that are digging deep wells of Biblical understanding and obedience.
• Praise God for local churches that have heard the call to social justice and caring for the poor.
• Praise God for churches who carry the banner of holiness and are deeply motivated by the things of the Spirit.
• Praise God for ministries who care about our children, their home-life, their salvation, their basic needs of shelter, food, clothing, freedom from fear of abuse or neglect.
• Praise God for many gifted pastors in leadership in the Body of Christ across Lubbock and for intercessors who love them and shield them in prayer.
• Praise God that through cooperative efforts of the Church in Lubbock, ministries like the Dream Center, Kingdom CO-OP, Salvation Army and Open Door are brining hope to the hopeless.
Praise God that our pastors have the opportunity to pray personally for our State elected officials, County elected officials and City elected officials. May those pastors be more like Daniel in his support of leaders.
Hebrews 12:28 “Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let’s show gratitude by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”
