Thursday - Families and Individuals

Week 3 - Spiritual Awakening

Desired outcome of today's prayer - Many families are a mixture of believers and other family members who have not responded to Jesus offer of salvation. Today we join our prayers with Christians who are praying for family members who are prodigals and others who have yet to call Jesus "Savior" that today will be the day of salvation for them.  Luke 15:17, 18 "When he came to his senses, he said ... I will set out and go back to my father and say to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and against You."

When praying today, we have these in mind: Traditional families, blended families, single-parent families, grandparents raising grandchildren, dysfunctional families, families with teenagers, families with infants and children, families who are pregnant, parents with empty nests, pastor’s families, home school families, families recently experiencing death or tragedy, families with members in the hospital, singles, grandparents, fathers, mothers, teenagers, children, infants, the unborn, nursing home residents, pregnant and un-wed girls, college students, homeless, those who have disabilities, families who live below or near the poverty line, individuals with addictions, those physically ill, those contemplating marriage, individuals in institutions, incarcerated individuals, individuals who are of an ethnic minority, individuals who are sexually disoriented and/or have gender dysphoria, individuals contemplating suicide, those in depression, those incarcerated, families in transition due to job change, divorce, or death, Kingdom CO-OP, Family Promise, Buckner Pathways, Family Coaching, John 8:32 Prison Ministry, Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministry, Salvation Army

Prayer issues for today:

• Pray for families that are spiritually dysfunctional due to unbelieving dads, moms and children.

• Pray for unbelieving heads of households, be it dads, moms, single dads, single moms, Grandmas and/or grandpas, that they would come to salvation in Jesus and influence their entire household

• Pray for Family Coaching, Buckner Pathways, Family Promise, Kingdom CO-OP and others as they reach out to families in crisis for opportunities to share the Gospel

• Pray for Christian counselors, pastors and youth pastors as they counsel and grant them opportunities to lead people to Jesus

• Pray for the effectiveness of those ministering to the incarcerated for opportunities to share the gospel and lead people to baptism

• Pray for those who are alone but seeking answers that the Holy Spirit would satisfy their thirst and lead them to the Truth and salvation

Luke 15:10 – “In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
