Week 3 Spiritual Awakening
Desired outcome of today's prayers: We seek spiritual awakening in the workplace would mean that people who don't know the Lord, are finding salvation through the testimony of fellow employees, through the Holy Spirit's prompting in the break room, through intentional discipleship of Christians reaching workplace friends who have never walked with God. II Timothy 2:2 "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others."
Groups in mind as we pray today: Small businesses, large businesses, construction, distribution and trade, transportation/public utilities, wholesale industry, banks and financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, services, real estate, hospital/health care systems, retail, restaurant industry, motels, tourism, agriculture, Consulting Services, Home Businesses, Lubbock Economic Development Alliance, Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic chamber of commerce, African American chamber of commerce, Better Business Bureau, Rotary, Kiwanis, Optimists, Market Lubbock Temp Services, CEOs, Managers, Middle Management, Employees, illegal businesses, immoral businesses
Prayer issues for today:
• Pray that entrepreneurs and business owners who are not believers, but have great business sense, will find salvation in Jesus that will enhance their business pursuits for Kingdom purposes.
• Pray that corporate office workers, managers, middle-management, personnel departments who don’t know the Lord, but carry so much responsibility, find transformation in God.
• Pray that workplaces, break rooms and work commutes would become conducive to spiritual things of the Lord, prayer and ministry occasions for the Gospel.
• Pray for the redemption of proprietors of businesses in our city whose products or services reflect the lost-ness of the owners/workers, i.e. drug dealers, those who provide alcohol or tobacco to minors, prostitution, so called “gentlemen’s clubs”, distributors of pornography any businesses that profit from and feed on the lust of the flesh and an attempt satisfy desires that only God can fully satisfy through righteous living.
• Pray for ministries like Swords & Stilettos who minister to women in the legal sex industry in Lubbock to be able to minister hope and salvation.
• Pray for ministries like One Voice and Open Door in Lubbock who minister to those caught in sex trafficking to rescue and offer new life in Jesus.
• Pray for new salvations among workers in the banking industry, financial institutions, financial advisory offices, and loan companies, and that their integrity would lead to Biblical stewardship and generosity regarding the funds they control, lend and manage.
• Pray for salvations among the working force of our city, workers who are the muscle and common sense within businesses, that their salvation will open new doors of purpose, meaning and self-value on the job and in eternity.
