Week 2 - Revival of God's People

Desired outcome of today's prayer - We want to lift up fellow Christians who are in the workplace to be renewed in their faith and revitalized in the call God has for them so they can bring God's light into the darkness of greed, injustice, and pride that can infiltrate business pursuits. Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden"

Groups in mind as we pray today: Small businesses, large businesses, construction, distribution and trade, transportation, public utilities, wholesale industry, banks and financial service providers, credit unions, manufacturing, telecommunications, services, real estate, home builders, hospital/health care systems, retail, restaurant industry, motels, tourism, agriculture, consulting services, Home Businesses, Lubbock Economic Development Alliance, Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic chamber of commerce, African American chamber of commerce, Better Business Bureau, Rotary, Kiwanis, Optimists, Market Lubbock Temp Services, CEOs, Managers, Middle Management, Employees, 

Pray for the health and vitality of Christ-followers in the workplace in these situations:  

• Where a spirit of repentance is needed upon Christians who have compromised with shady business practices and need to bring those mistakes into the Light of God’s forgiveness  

• Favor for Christians in businesses to receive promotions, greater opportunities, and a stronger voice for God’s glory  

• Mission organizations to have renewed fervor and resources to accomplish their purposes at home and abroad  

• Christian organizations and enterprises who prioritize advancing the Kingdom of God to excel in doing God’s will  

• Grace for Christian workers in businesses in the service industry that they would be strengthened so that their constant contact with citizens would reflect Jesus’ love in their manner of service    

• Lead Christian workers back to their First Love who have replaced passion for the Lord with passion for their business   

• Give Christians in business a reminder to increase their reliance upon prayer  • Teach Christ followers in the workplace to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and not be caught up in negativity  

• Encourage Christians in the workplace who are considering leading a Bible study or prayer group with fellow workers  

• Increase the courage of business owners who say “Lord, Lord” on Sunday to practice righteousness and meekness on Monday through Friday  

Rom 8:5,6 – "For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace."
