Week 2 - Revival of God's People
Desired outcome for today's prayer: We want to lift up fellow Christians who work and serve in our community's educational systems to be renewed in their faith and revitalized in the call God has for them on behalf of our students. Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding."
Keep these groups in mind as we pray today: Educational Personnel: students, teachers, district administrators, campus administrators, teacher’s aids, transportation providers, cafeteria workers, nurses, special education instructors, PTA officers, campus security, counseling and testing staff Pre-Schools and Kindergartens: (numerous campuses across city) Elementary: Alderson, Bayless, Bean, Bowie, Boseman, Brown, Casey (FISD), Crestview (FISD), Dupre, Guadalupe, Hardwick, Harwell, Haynes, Hodges, Honey, Idalou, Iles, Jackson, Maedgen, McWhorter, Murfee, New Deal, North Ridge (FISD), Overton, Parkway, Parsons, Ramirez, Rush, Shallowater Elementary and Intermediate, Smith, Stephen R. Pray for renewed passion for and surrender to the Lord among Christ-followers associated with schools:
• Bless Christian teachers, in public schools, Christian schools and home schools with greater ability to allow Jesus to love others through them
• Encourage Christian students on School Campuses to be lights that shine before their fellow students.
• Empower University-focused ministries and leaders to reflect Jesus and be renewed and passionate to see more college students know God
• Renew the fervency of faith for Christian organizations on middle school and high school campuses, like Young Life, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and youth pastors minister to students
• Bless leaders of student-led Bible studies/ prayer meetings that they draw their strength from you
• Renew the passion of all Christians who associate with schools to return to their First Love
• Fan the flames of prayer for and in our schools
• Give believers who are school associates a greater thirst for the Holy Spirit and a deeper hunger for God’s Word
• Inspire Administrators who love Jesus to have favor in their work and find ways to bring their Christian principles into our school systems.
• Empower Christians who are bus drivers, cafeteria workers, teachers aids, nursing and counseling staff, special education teachers, cross-walk attendants and security personnel to be a blessing to the children and youth they serve
• Reinvigorate the efforts of groups like Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Good News Clubs to reach students in elementary schools
Matthew 5:16 – "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
