Apr. 6 - Spiritual Freedom in the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God

Sunday - The Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God
Week 1 - Spiritual Freedom
Desired Outcome for today's prayer: Since the Church is Jesus' bride and His chosen vehicle to bring the Gospel to the world, it stands to reason that the Body of Christ and God's Kingdom are Satan's number 1 strategic focal point for harassment. Our prayer strategy today is to apply Jesus' precious blood to disarm the enemy and free the church to flourish in God's will. II Corinthians 10:04 "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds."
Christian churches and organizations in mind as we pray: Christian congregations, Christian ministries, Christian radio, university ministries, pastors, ministers, rectors and priests, Christian denominational regional staff, home churches, youth ministries, children’s ministries, prayer ministries, local church prayer leaders, Sunday schools, elders, deacons, church board officers and members, Lubbock Area Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, African American Fellowship of Churches, Church Ambassador Network, Lubbock Disciple Makers Network, missionary organizations, prison ministries, counseling ministries, All-City Worship Leaders Fellowship, Pray Lubbock Ministry Team, Children’s Home of Lubbock, Buckner Family Hope Center, Methodist Children’s Home, Texas Girls and Boys Ranch, Across the Street Ministry, Kingdom CO-OP, Lubbock House of Prayer, 132 House of Prayer, Encounter - a House of Prayer, Open Door, Kingdom Come Ministries, Lubbock Dream Center, The Salvation Army, Christian Counselors, St. Benedict's Chapel, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Quest Restorations Ministries, Exodus Prison Ministry, John 8:32 Prison Ministry, Water Hose Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, One Heart Foster Alliance,
Pray for spiritual freedom from the following issues that can hinder the Church:
• Pray for freedom from the many walls that divide the Body of Christ in Lubbock into segments and diminish the impact the church could have in Lubbock.
• Pray for freedom from thoughtless use of the tongue in social media posts by church leaders that broadcast the schisms in the Body of Christ rather than privately seeking reconciliation in the Body of Christ.
• Pray for freedom among pastors, leaders and teachers in the Church to freely express the heart of God exercising the fact that speaking the truth is not a license to hate and expressing love is not a license to hold back the truth.
• Pray for freedom in congregations from taking the bait of Satan and retaining offenses from past church splits, divisions, and wounds rather than exposing, confessing and finding healing regarding past church incidents.
• Pray for freedom from a spirit of religion – where rituals of godliness are exercised while denying power of the transforming work of God’s Spirit as promised by Jesus.
• Pray for freedom for congregations who have certified leaders who have not been called by God to serve in those positions and are serving as false teachers.
• Pray for freedom from a spirit of apathy in the church which causes the church to lack love for the lost and, instead, breeds self-focus.
• Pray for freedom in congregations from a contentment with status quo that prevents congregations from taking steps of faith and from hearing when God is doing a new thing.
• Pray for freedom from a spirit of competition with other congregations in our city so that rather than comparing with one another, congregations will celebrate the unique part each one plays in the Body of Christ in Lubbock.
• Pray for freedom from a spirit of theological superiority that can grip a congregation and leadership, causing congregations to walk in pride rather than humility before God.
• Pray for freedom from adultery, immorality and other infidelities among leadership and membership in the church by means of repentance, confession, submission to counseling, confrontation, removal from office, or restoration to avoid being exposed by those outside the church and inciting judgment on Jesus’ church from the world.
Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from me," declares the LORD.
